Curative Documents
Correction deeds, ratifications, disclaimers, stipulations of interest, and affidavits of heirship are the tools curative landmen use to correct defects and clarify ownership. Drafted well, they survive the next diligence review; drafted poorly, they create new defects.
Pooling Agreements
Pooling combines tracts and interests into a producing unit under the terms each lease allows. A clean pooling agreement (or a well-drafted declaration of pooling) is the difference between a unit that produces cleanly and one that spawns litigation.
Division Order Review
Division orders translate ownership into payment fractions. Errors compound every month a well produces. We review division orders against the underlying title and correct them so revenue reaches the right owners in the right amounts.
